The Senior Bowl is offering more than just football to game goers. BP America is also giving them a lesson in cooking Gulf Coast seafood.

The 2012 Gulf Coast Seafood and Tourism Bash presented by BP started with the AllState Sugar Bowl and BCS Championship games in New Orleans. The promotion focuses on promoting Gulf Coast seafood.

BP and the Alabama Seafood and Marketing Commission worked together to create the Senior Bowl event on game day. Starting at noon and until 2:30 p.m., some of the regions top chefs will host a live 30 minute cooking segment where they can interact with the crowd as they cook their dish. Some audience members could even find themselves on stage.

Top chefs include Aaron McCargo Jr., the Next Food Network Star and host of Food Network's Big Daddy's House, Wesley True of True Restaurants in Mobile, Alec Naman of Naman's Catering in Mobile, and Haller Magee of Satterfield's in Birmingham.

"The Senior Bowl is excited to partner with BP to highlight the unrivaled seafood and culture of the Gulf Coast," said Chris Morgan, Senior Bowl Sales and Marketing Director.

"With college football fans across the country turning their eyes toward Mobile, there's no better time to promote the region's seafood and tourism."

"We're working with the Gulf Coast's seafood and tourism industries to spotlight two of the best things about this unique region," said Crystal Ashby, BP executive vice president of government and public affairs.

"Together, we want to deliver a clear message that the Gulf's beaches, restaurants, fishing and attractions provide unsurpassed vacation experiences."

Tickets for the 2012 Senior Bowl are currently available for purchase at the Senior Bowl ticket office (151 Dauphin Street), online at www.seniorbowl.com or by calling (251) 432-4109.
