As the Florida primary draws near, the battle for votes in the Sunshine State is intensifying. With the votes being split in the Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries and caucuses, all attention is now focused on Florida.

Tuesday, voters will head to the polls and the outcome may very likely determine who will face off against President Obama in November.

Northwest Florida is known to be highly conservative and is an area at least two of the candidates are focused on.

Former U. S. senator Rick Santorum had scheduled a campaign stop in Pensacola Thursday, but cancelled at the last minute due to severe weather in the area.

Mitt Romney is next to have a stop over. He'll be making an appearance at The Fish House restaurant on Saturday morning.

"They called and wanted to come to The Fish House," said restaurant owner, Collier Merrill. "We said sure. So, they're coming, they're bringing all the national press with them. Some other dignitaries are coming with them."

Merrill, a staunch republican, is looking forward to hearing first hand why Romney thinks he has the best chance against President Obama in the fall. It will be the only chance area voters will have to see him before Tuesday's vote.

"He's going to give a speech, and they're already talking about. He's going to walk around, and he's going to shake as many hands as he can and greet the people that came out to see him," Merrill said. "He's coming in here. He's going to be here for a few hours. And like I said, the weather's supposed to be perfect; maybe a touch chilly as it's going to be outside so dress warmly."

The doors open will at 7:30 Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast starting at 8. Romney's address will follow that.

It's first come first serve on the pancakes, so be sure to get there early. The event is free to the public.

Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Ron Paul will engage in their final debate before the Florida Primary Thursday night in Jacksonville, Florida.
